Yesterday began with torrential rainfall!! Cowboy and I stood at the front door and watched torrents flow down the drive toward the lodge. It wasn't flood stage...this is a dramatization. haha! Boy, was I glad that I gathered stuff the day before to make a Christmas wreath. Here it is...I think it would look better in dimmer light but I'm too impatient.
I used found objects: grapevine wreath (there is a ton of grapevine in the woods); I tucked in boughs from scotch pines, white pines and red cedars, pine cones, rose hips from the wild roses and some interesting dried wildflowers and grasses. I wrapped the whole thing in white twinkle lights. I think I might add a big cranberry colored bow at the bottom. The wreath is way too big to hang on the door so I will just let it lean next to the door.

OK....Back to looking at the rain: Cowboy said, "I'll bet you're glad you finished your wreath before this rain!"
"Yuuup, sure am!"
Then something magical happened: {SNOW}!! Do you know how much I love snow???? Big sumptuous flakes!!! Swooooon.
Guess what we were doing in the snow......cattle head count. That's hard to do...they keep moving. I rarely get the same answer twice. I wish we could just do roll call: Priscilla? MOoooPresentmooO. Clever? Mmmmooohere etc.
{And....wearing glasses in a snowfall.....frustrating!!!}
I pretended I was on a huge Montana ranch and we were preparing for a monumental blizzard. I'm goofy like that.
We ended up with about an inch of snow that is gone today except in the ravines. The sun is shining and out my window are flitting bluejays and woodpeckers. So pretty. But, today I'd rather see snow.
Oooops, gotta go. The dryer just called me.
