Ok, so I asked Cowboy if I could get a new pair of boots...I know I already have 4 other pairs...so? I was fully prepared to come up with my (lame, yet exaggerated) list of reasons why I needed yet another pair, but to my great delight, he was in agreement. So we ventured out to where the dirts roads wear buggy tracks. An Amish couple runs a store that carries boots, clothing, bonnets, fabric, etc. Very cute!! Awesome gardens all around their farm and store. I tried on a pair of boots, fell in love and blew my whole wad of money and some of Cowboy's on a pair of golden brown serious honest-to-goodness all out cowgirl boots. I immediately pictured myself up on a horse rounding up cattle, roping calves and checking fences. Yeah, they're that cool.
I spent over $100 and got my choice of a pumpkin or a watermelon. I chose ....Watermelon....and since Cowboy doesn't like watermelon, it was all mine (you might think I had that all planned out....naa, I'm not that swift). Later that evening I was too full of watermelon to muster up the energy to fix much of a supper. Sorry, Cowboy....but how about these boots?
Can't wait to get them scuffed up a little!! I don't like the look of pristine boots....gotta have some authentic battle scars on them...from barbed wire and stirrups and stuff.
