Deliciously cold this morning!! I slept too long....but was able to run outside in my jammies and slippers to see the partial lunar eclipse. The moon had already sunk behind the woods but I could still see it hiding there. I imagined I saw the eclipse...which is good enough for me..(channel 8 news showed a better picture of it anyway).
Peach and Boy Wonder invited Princess and me to breakfast at Cracker Barrel. (Cowboy is still at the ranch without me.....and I'm still at our headquarters without him). I had a little time to do the morning chores. I fed the inside dogs and then went out to feed the chickens and open their little door so they can go out. I forgot to dump the water out of their fountain...so, yeah, ice. I was able to chip some of it off...they actually fought over the ice chips...silly hens. I'm gonna break down and get a heater for their fountain. Boy Wonder is an assistant manager at a nearby farm/home store...I'll send $$ with him.
We went to Cracker Barrel--I had French toast and extra syrup...and bacon....and about a pot of coffee. mmmmmm
It's a beautiful, sunshiny day...and I have stuff to do outside. I still have my tomato cages in the garden with dead tomato plants drooped in them. Uhhhh, I'll put that off till spring.....I'm terrible. What sounds more fun is making some peppermint bark candy for the goody plates. I may also make some cookies.....I don't know; I haven't decided.... Let's, at the very least, water the chickens....
Aren't they cute....in a fowl way.
Here's my "helper" (and I use the term loosely), Theodore Laurence...he's the "Buddy the Elf" of cats......just a cotton-headed ninnymuggins.
I still have Christmas shopping to do......sigh. I wish department stores would come into my living room and show me their wares while I relax comfortably in my chair, coffee at my fingertips and some knitting project in my lap....and I wish money were no object. ~{POOF}~
What a fun word--poof!
That's all so far...
